Goodbye Pastor Werner, Yolindi and kids

Sad item is that the departure date for our pastor is fast approaching. It was decided that a luncheon be held after the morning service on Sunday 18th May as this is the official finishing date for our pastor.
The congregation is asked to remain behind for this luncheon, so that we as a congregation can
take this opportunity of saying our goodbyes and thanks for seven years faithful service to us and to express our best wishes for Werner and Yolindi's future in Toowoomba (and the kids).
A collection box will be placed in the foyer for anyone who would like to make
a donation to the present that we as a congregation will be giving to the Viljoen family.
The Ladies Fellowship will be organising the luncheon and anyone who would like to suggest an item or participate in the entertainment or speeches segment of the luncheon please contact COM.

Dear brothers and sisters in the Lord Jesus Christ,
As many of you may know, it is hard to express the emotions that go through one's mind during times of considering a call to move on and serve in another congregation. We stand in awe and gratitude before the Lord for the way He has blessed us in the almost 7 years here in the Christian Reformed Church of St Marys. We are extremely grateful for the way that this body of Christ has received and made us part of the family here in more than just the normal way. The brothers and sisters here also filled the void of the family we left behind in South Africa when we moved here, in a wonderful way and words can never express our sincere appreciation. For this, we are sure; there will always be a special bond between us.
However, the Lord has given us peace with the decision to accept the call that the Toowoomba congregation has extended to us. May the Lord in His goodness and faithfulness lead the right man to come and serve this wonderful church family in St Marys.
